After tearing my hair out in frustration over at Godawful fanfiction, I came up with an idea: A wide-ranging fanfic archive with GOOD stories.

The concept is as follows: The moderators find a story they like, which fulfills certain criteria:

1. Good language
2. In-character characters
3. Written in canon style
4. Respect for canon relationships and events
5. Generally good reading

The author is invited to post the story, and can after that submit their own stories for posting - but the moderators have the right to respectfully decline if the story doesn't fulfill the criteria. The moderators may also act as betas on these rejected stories, and point out faults. An author who has a story on the site may also nominate three of his/her favourite stories.

Now, the problem is that I have no idea how to make a site like this, nor the time to make it and operate it. Nor do I know of any whom will say yes, although I have an idea of whom I would ask.

In other news, I have quit comparative politics, and am taking a course in English language and one in British literature while waiting for Spanish to begin in Autumn. I feel good about this.
