It's not even half past five in the morning, and I've been awake for two hours. Today I'm moving to York for half a year, and I'm really, really nervous about it.

Of course, everything's made worse by the fact that today it's exactly one month since my dad died, and I really, really miss him.

I now have a place to stay when I go to York. I mentioned that I'd be bringing my viola, and wondered if it would trouble anyone when I rehearsed - not only was the answer "no", but the housing director even contacted the conductor of the orchestra she plays in, so now they'll be welcoming me there. (It's times like these I love being a violist. We're always welcome!)

I have an unfortunate tendency to get hooked on something right before my exams. Last time it was Elfquest. This time it's Gundam Wing. I think I'm going to do a GW fandom fanon rant sometime later.

I had my language exam (Generative Syntax/Cognitive Linguistics) today. I'm not sure how it went. I don't think I'll fail, at least. We'll see.

I hope they like my rampaging elephant-analogy.

...I finished the first draft of a paper where I talk about revenge tragedies, with regards to the characters Hieronimo in The Spanish Tragedy and Hamlet in, well, Hamlet.

...got notice that I have been "recommended for a place at the Masters programme in Language and Linguistic Science at the University of York".

...I will be ditching one orchestra practice to go to another. USO will be doing Fiddler on the Roof with Steinerskolen, and we only have four weeks of practice altogether.
