He seems to be gone from the comics

Which Im not altogether sorry for.
Northstar's run in the X-Comics seemed to be as nothing more than the token gay. He really did not have much of another function - was involved in too few missions to show just how fucking bad-ass he can be. (Guys, we're talking about a guy who would cheerfully have ripped Mr. Fantastic in half if that mind-control guy hadn't released him. Reed Richards, that is.) He'd lost most of his old personality, except some of the "God, I can't believe I'm surrounded by these morons" thing. (Who did I rip that one off from?)
The only explanation for why his hair suddenly went white was offered in a fanfic on this site. (Thank you, Lady Mako.) The only explanation for why someone who never wanted to be a hero joined up with a bunch of idealistic vigilantes is offered in Beaubier's Superhero. We shouldn't have to look to fanfics for obvious problems like that.
The having-a-kid-die-in-his-arms-to-get-a-big-change-thing has been done before, in his totally horrible coming-out issue (AF#106).
And he's always in costume (almost). It looks like it chafes.
Frankly, I never thought he would work in X-Men. Not unless he was given a lot of development. But as much as I love the guy, he's never been allowed to develop. Never ever. And definitely not here.
He's been so badly written I half expected him to get a written-out accent and sometime mention that he's an only child.
Where the FUCK is Aurora!?!? She hasn't even been mentioned! His sister was the reason he did anything back in the old AF!
Right. Sorry about that. I just miss the REAL Northstar.
Ingvild out.
